SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO DITCH FUSSY TO DO DINNERS AND GO WITH AN EASY OPTION AND WHAT’S EASIER AND TASTIER THAN A GOOD OLD BURGER! BECOMING MORE AND MORE POPULAR IN THE WEEKLY DINNER LINE-UP AND THE RISE OF BURGER ESTABLISHMENTS ACROSS AUSTRALIA ARE INSPIRING AT HOME CREATIONS – AUSTRALIAN FAMILIES JUST CAN’T GET ENOUGH AND WHO CAN BLAME THEM.
Now to answer the age old question…What makes the perfect burger? Well our growers have pondered this question for quite some time and were always stumped with finding the right lettuce to be able to stack fillings. It took years of hunting and trialling various lettuce varieties to eventually find the ultimate lettuce type. It needed to have a full leaf structure, it needed a cute frilly edge, it needed to be flexible, thin yet strong. It needed flavour of course and present real value for people. In the end we found the holy grail and we called it FRILLED Burger Lettuce and it’s a beauty!
VALUE FOR MONEY
The Lettuce head itself has a high leaf count so there is plenty to go round the table for more than one meal occasion. The lettuce is also hydroponically grown, meaning it is harvested with the root ball left intact giving you longer freshness.
Whilst we love this lettuce for Burgers it is also great for sandwiches and wraps too and if you are looking for a bread free option the leaves will hold your Burger fillings, wrap or sandwich ingredients perfectly well.

You can find our Frilled Burger Lettuce in select Woolworths stores in NSW, QLD & VIC from September 18, 2019, if the public speaks and loves this frilly number we will roll out to further stores!
